Default custom finial

Hi everyone.

Looking around online, I can't seem to find a match for an old finial I have.
The old one is for the back porch stair newel post.

I've just made new stairs in the front (they never had finials on the newels), and want to get two finials to match.

The one on the deck for the back stairs is on a 6X6. the stair posts at the bottom are 4X4, so i'll need a finial to be 3.5" or so at the base.

here's the existing. it was one solid piece, but i cut it off to put on a new post bottom.

boston turning works has two that are round, but it would be nice to get it right after all my toil on the porch.

any of you guys out there have a lathe and could turn me two finials?

i'd pay you...

thanks!
ben

This is a hanging bead stair. This is one. Very good for hand-eye coordination, because there's just a little loop there, they have to put there. And each one they have to match with a numeral. Start by saying, this is one, this is one. This is two, this... Read More »
