I was thinking of putting crown molding around a bathroom ceiling where the ceramic tile goes all the way up to the ceiling.
What would be the best way to assure attachment to the tiles at the bottom of the crown molding.
attach cleats cut from 2/4's up in the corner with screws through holes drilled in the tile. you can angle the side of the cleat to match the angle of the crown. make sure that the crown is 1/2 inch away from them so you don't have the crown hitting them before it touches the wall or ceiling in other words you want a little gap between the crown and the cleats. you would need these on the walls that where the crown runs parallel with the ceiling joists anyway unless it's smaller crown. it would look something like this viewed from the end and sized to fit behind your crown molding
