Crown Molding on Cabinets

How would I go about cutting crown molding like this? I need the angles. I have a compound miter saw. I realize you typically stagger and change depth but for my existing cabinets that would cause a lot of problems. I need it for a staggered cabinet that is flush.
Thanks!!!

I only have to do two cabinets. I don't really want to spend $50 on a tool.

I cannot remember if they were cheap or free but I ran across some promising looking Android apps for miter angle computations. There is probably a free online application.

well there are different spring angles crown can be so it depends on that to use a compound bevel cut. i have seen this done by a cabinet installer we use a few times looked scary to me and not the way i cut crown but it worked and fit good surprisingly. he just held the crown against fence just the same way is was going up on cabinets with saw on beveled angle he wanted held it firm and cut it.
to find bevel needed for top cabinet it should be 22.5 at least that is normally what they are. take any small scrap of wood cut the angles hold them up against side and face of cabinet and see if it is correct

If you're using prefinished molding from a cabinet company, the $50 for the protractor might end up being cheap if you scrap a couple lenghts of the molding. I have one of the starret protractors. Excellent tool.
