Crown Mold Glue

I want to install 3" crown mold in my kitchen. I will be using in/outside corner blocks, so the crown mold cuts will be all straight.

Has anyone ever used- "Tite Bond Molding Glue" for installing crown mold ?
I know there will be places that have no dead wood.

I am going to paint the walls and ceilings and am worried the glue might cause more problems then it's worth if I don't get the molding in the exact position the first time.

Thanks

Crown Mold Glue

I use 2P10. (gel)

But why in the world would you use block corners?

Crown Mold Glue

Rather than use glue, you can install a nailer behind the molding (a simple piece of scrap wood nailed into the corner of the wall and ceiling).

It works well since you can now nail all along the molding.

Nothing wrong with using corner blocks at all.

Look around at some of the 100+ year old homes and you'll see that some very elaborate installs used corner blocks on both the crown and the door/window casings. Some were very ornate, hand craved too...
