Crown mitre for Kit cabinet

Could someone help me with angles for a crown cut. The molding is going on top of a kitchen cabinet. The cabinet is a corner unit with font angle of 45 deg for outside corners.

thanks

AtlanticWBConst., Thanks for the link....I measured and my outside angle is 135 deg horizontal ...Im a little confused because I cannot find a M /BT setting for that particular angle.

Rememer that ''test cutting'' two corresponding inside (or outside) pieces, and then holding them up in place, to check, can also help you figure out the actual angles (if you are having trouble with slightly off degree areas).

I just don't get it.....I don't have any problem with regular 90 deg inside/outside corners. But this 45 deg is crazy..... It's an outside cut so the angle is 135deg. The chart doesn't have theat coresponding angle to show what the mitre and bevel is.

The total angle is 135 degrees. Each piece will be half that.

put the crown on your miter saw upside down, at an angle so the flat the goes against the ceiling is flat on the bed of the saw, and the flat that goes against the wall is flat on the fence of your saw. Turn your saw to a 22-1/2* outside angle and cut the crown that way...instead of trying to figure out the angles to cut while the crown is lying flat.
