creative basement window casing/treatment ideas? Photo attached

We are in the planning stages of a basement renovation and are trying to figure out what we can do to make the windows look more finished and cozy. The windows are ground level in the city, so we need privacy as an option, but also want the option to be able to see out/bring light in. There are several hurdles to "standard" window treatments and casing: (1) you can see the window to the left is partially obstructed by a gas line and ductwork and (2) the hole (a sweatshirt is currently stuffed in it) between the 2 right windows is the access to our water main. Does anyone have ideas on how to trim and treat these windows in a way that would obscure or hide these eye sores (or at least not draw attention to them) and also help turn our basement into the cozy, finished family room we want it to be? Thanks!

Put an access door for the water meter.
It looks like there is plenty of room to box out the gas pipe and make it disappear.
Live with the ductwork.
Put up pretty curtains.
