Covering stucco covered foam columns with wood

We want to cover our really ugly faux (foam) 1/2 round columns that are covered with stucco on either side of our front entrance. We are looking for suggestions regarding which type of wood/siding to use. We will be painting it white and covering four sides.

Hard to say without a photo, but I'd suggest Azek. Follow the manufacturer's directions for installing
