counter veneer?

Hi,
I am trying to find a good trim for counter top I built. The edge is rough cut and about 1" thick. I tried wood veneer but don't like the look of it. I would rather have a plastic, beveled/rounded edge kind of trim like the kind you see on many industrial office desks. Does anyone know what this kind of trim is called? Or where to find it? I can't seem to search it online and no one at the hardware store knows anything.
Thanks!
