Cornered steps for a deck

My husband is building a two level deck for the first time and can't figure out how to do the cornered steps. He did the top three steps(having a bit of trouble) but the bottom deck is 8ft high. He is having trouble figuring out how to do the bottom cornered steps(45 degree angle.) can this be done?

Something like this?

They can be done protruding like this, or simply in line with the edge of the deck.

2 or 3 steps isnt a big deal for angled steps as all thats needed is some blocking on its flat to support the decking.. but when you start getting into a full 8 ft set of stairs additional more complicated framing gets involved
