Connecting grid ceiling beams

I have the heavy duty APG ceiling grid beams. Is it possible to connect DONN regular strength beams together? The connections look different. I could go to the store and try, but the store is 25 miles away the place I got the APG is 50 miles away.

I am not familiar with that brand of grid, but I have been out of the ceiling "business" for a number of years.
You may have to be a little creative, but I have joined different "main" runners (the 12" pieces that the "cross" t's attach to) by using 2 pieces of wall angle and pop riveting them together. You have to cut most of one leg of the wall angle off each piece so it doesn't extend past the grid. I leave a little for the strength factor. Cut the tabs off each of the mains and clamp and rivet the pieces of wall angle to each side. Slide the other main between the wall pieces and attach the same way.
