Composite Door Surrounds

I need recommendations to replace existing wood Pilasters and Dentil Header, with Composite or similar product. I have tried to actually see two products (Fypon and Mid-America) only to be told only catalogs are available. I like AZEK, Veranda, etc. products and might be forced to piecemeal different shapes from different manufactures to make it look right and feel real. A Mid-America supplier did have a small sample. It LOOKS great from a distance, until you touch it. It has the feeling of plastic and hollow, not solid like wood or composite (AZEK). Some good features for Mid-America is that it does not need to be painted, in fact they do not recommend painting. Another is that it is not nailed or glued/cemented. It is secured by a J-Channel backing plate and a Base.
The Fypon (Foam product) must be painted.
So. Do I go the ala-carte route, or await further recommendations available in the Huntington,NY area?

I would visit Kleet lumber or Burts Lumber on Park Ave, North of Pulaski Rd.
