Code for deck fasteners??
 

Is there a code for what type of fasteners you should be using on an uncovered pt deck?

Are you talking joists or the actual board decking?

If you are talking anything structural, yes there is a code for fasteners etc..

Deck boards on top of joists, you can use whatever you want.

There are a variety of ways to attach deck boards over the joists, including nails, screws, hidden fastener brackets, etc....

All are allowable as there are no code requirements pertaining to: Deck board fastener attachments.
