cedar siding


I have 1x6 t&g vertical siding that was damaged by hail with dents what is the best way to remove the denting and restaining

There's no way to remove dents from wood unless you want to paint the wood to cover the repair.

Before you demo it, take a steam iron from the laundry, wet the dent, apply on medium or low, remove before wood burns, just 5 seconds- experiment. Try with steam, if stubborn. Apply again after wetting, till it's out. If burning, use a material between. I've done this on cedar decking for years and years.
