carsiding doesn't meet in corners

My husband and I built this 3 season room onto our house. We thought that a 45 degree angle with the boards would look interesting. It did. What happened though, is that we didnt get the cuts close enough to meet correctly in the corners. What type of molding would look good and cover this imperfection we created.

I have had trouble posting a picture. There is a gap of about a 1/4" in several places.

Sounds like you made a good try on something a seasoned carpenter would have found to be a good challange.

Walls are never 100% plumb and the adjustments (shimming and cutting each board to fit) would have shown A++ craftsmanship if it would have worked.

depending on the gaps consider small cove molding, inside corner, or 3/4 round ... all depends on the look you like. Get some samples and try them out.

I applaud your good try.

thanks BigBob,
That is exactly what I thought, but my husband wanted to try to make some moldings and I have seen this semi crude work before and didnt want to make this grand looking room look like we did it.

The grand master Norm A... can make creating moldings look easy... sure if a five star Router table and every bit is at your disposal..along with an unlimited supply of stock to play with..all paid for by the TV producers or equipment donated by the manufacturer ( for a plug on National TV).

Ooops! maybe hubby was looking for an opportunity to tool up! Consider his joy in creating a solution and calling this space his creation. (Priceless)

Either Way.

I'm sure you guys will enjoy the space and be proud knowing you did it yourselves.
