What size do I need to make the floor opening for a spiral staircase?

most of the spiral staircases ive seen are ordered in kits. The manufacture will tell you depending on what kit you want

Depends on your staircase,

usually has to do with headroom requirements, minimum headroom required, will be in local code. I belive anyways, never actually framed an opening for circular stairs, but thats what I would think.

They come in different sizes. You have to pick one and get the rough opening from the manufacturer.

I would go with an adequate size. Anything larger than this will be too big and anything smaller than this will be too small.

Its a bit like saying how long is a piece of string. Do your research on different models and then decide how much room you have to fit one in
