How many nails do you need on a 2x4 x8 long stud for framing?

If your toe-nailing a stud into the bottom and top plates, you'll need 8. 4 in the top, 4 in the bottom. 8d or 10d.

4 Nails if you nailing through the plates before standing up a wall. 12d-16d.

Clean the dryer screen in HOT water if using fabric softener sheets.
They leave a residue that impedes air-flow, costing you money.
