Can these studs be removed?

Hi guys and thank you in advance for the help. I am in the process of remodeling my shower and would like to expand it into the "wasted space" area to the left (see photo). Are these studs supporting anything or are they just part of the shower framing? 2nd floor master bath.

they look like they might be able to be removed, but without seeing the framing of the roofline its hard to actually say..

looks as if a tub unit was there before which needed a proper surface to fasten both it and the drywall too while allowing enough space for a inside corner to get taped

Looks to be a partition wall as it's 2 feet from the exterior wall.
What's above this wall, the roof rafters and attic space?

Yes, the attic is above.

In my opinion, you can take the wall out.
