Can i add on to my bottom tread?

Hello. Iam redoing my stairs from carpet to hardwood and i was wondering if i can add on to the bottom tread to somewhat wrap it around where you see the wood on the floor. It would extend about 6" out that way . Is that allowed or by code would it have to stick on 11" on that side?

They sell or you can make a longer base step with a curved tread over it. It's commonly used with a volute.
In your case, you can build an extension to the stair and put a tread with a curved end over it.

Looks like you also need to fix the uneven riser heights to meet code. Your bottom riser looks too short after the flooring was added.

Nah the risers are up to code, the bottom one is 7" just can't tell from the camera angle. Stairs had carpet just replacing with hardwood stairs.
