Can anyone answer this simple question? DVD Storage Design Help

I am designing a DVD bookshelf for my collection of 2500+ DVD's, and I was wondering if there was some kind of Design program I could find that would let me put in different dimensions, wood type, etc. and let me see the design. Anything would be helpful. Thanks.

As a guy with 4000 DVDs, I've given up trying to make regular wall cases for them. I've been busy with other projects at the moment, but my idea for this many DVDs is to build a "stack" system, like you see in large libraries. Instead of having wall-to-wall DVDs in the house, you'd have a set of shelves (front and back in my plan) that move along tracks, so the amount of space taken up will be about the size of a refrigerator or maybe a little bigger, and there only needs to be enough space between all the racks for one person to step in and look around. Just a thought.

Yikes, that's a lot of dvd's. We made a wall mount cab for our dvd's.
I was going to post a pic of it, but it only holds about 150 or so
dvd's. How big were you planning to make this dvd holder?

Most definitely Google Sketchup. It's quick to learn and, best of all, it's free.
