Calling All Cabinet Makers!

I have 12' of base cabinet, 54",36"(sink), 54". Cabinets will be all 3/4" ply. There is a slight chance I may go to 1/2" ply. Cabinet will be 28" deep.

Do I build 3 separate cabinets or a single 12' ? With 8' sheets, and a 12' cabinet, where to I make the seams? With 3 separate cabinets I either end up with double 3/4" pieces on the 2 middle divider walls, or a single 3/4" divider. With a single i would probably use a 1/8"x3/4" on either side of the panel.

Moving a 12' would be a little more of a problem, but it can be done.

Been looking for slides longer than 22" but no luck yet.

Thanks for the replys!

I would build separate cabinets. You may want to take one out later to install a DW or wine cooler.

The depth you mentioned was 28"--Standard is 24" is there a reason for the extra depth?

More room. Actually I have about 34" from wall out to corners on L and R. Might as well use the space. I also want to wrap the cabinets on the Left side around a corner and tie into a Refrig area with cabinets above. I always hated the small area behind sink with 24's. Uppers will be 16".

When I build cabinets,I build the sections as large as I can handle. That extra width might made the harder to fir through a door--I'd check that first.

I find it faster to build and install.----Mike---
