Cabinet doors

I am planning to make my own cabinet doors using maple 1x3's and rail and stile routers. The stock I found is not consistent thickness and I don't have access to a jointer or planer. Can I clamp the boards together and use a belt sander to make them flush?

You can also look into calling a wood working shop which would do what you need for a small fee. I have used some around here and had no problems.

Don't use a belt sander. As epson said, someone should have a thickness planer or sander. Are you using a plate joiner to join the boards? You don't want them to break going thru a planer
