Question

Cabinet Doors?

I have not-so-pretty cabinets...like these...

I am going to paint them and add hardware (because we keep busting fingernails on the groove to open the drawers). I have no clue what to do with that grooved piece of wood on the trim though.

Can it be removed? Painted over?

Thanks!

Cabinet Doors?

The finger pulls are attached to the door. Best to reface the frames and buy new doors.

Cabinet Doors?

How'd you get in my house? I keep my doors locked!

My cabinetry is pretty solid, so they're all staying. I'm going to put new faces and doors on everything this summer. And I found some nice soapstone tile to do the counter tops.

Gotta love that look. When we bought our house, my wife called to warn her mom and said "the 1970's called, and they want their kitchen back."

Must be a Jersey thing (I'm also in Jersey).

I actually have the SAME cabinets as my vanity in my bathroom. It's hideous. I'm going to paint those this weekend and see how it turns out. It's much cheaper to replace if I screw it up.
