Bump out

Depends on if you plan on redoing all the floor framing inside the main house.
Rule of thumb for every foot of bump out you need 2 feet if framing of the main house.

Bump out

also would depend on what the bumped out wall is supporting, is it roof, 2nd floor, etc.

Bump out

its always been three to one in my area... example- a 3' bump out would require 9' of joist into the room past the foundation back to a header in the floor. 4' would require 12' of joist and the joists have to have a special connection to prevent up lift from occurring ( upside down joist hangers connected to header etc...)

depending on room size a header might not be needed to be added into the floor just full room length joists that make it back to an interior wall or girder etc...
