So I got a whole bunch of Eon decking for free from a friend because he works for a former distributor who no longer carries the product because they went belly up.
(I know the product has some downfalls but I got 500 sq. ft. and the fasteners for free, that is more than enough to cover my 12x24 deck and it's saving me money so I am going to use it.....I've done some research and found some opinions on the product being fine if you follow the installation instructions well and use 1/4" spacing to deal with expansion issues, I'll take my chances....)
So the issue is.....
I was not able to get any of the Eon bullnose that goes with this decking, I would like any ideas on a simple way to fabricate my own, I was thinking about something along the lines of just getting PT 2x8's (deck frame is ground level 2x6), routing a 45 on one side of the top and wrapping the deck with it raised 7/8" so the top is flush with the top of the Eon decking.
Can I do this with 5/4 Azek trim?
I am trying to not use PT lumber but if I have to......
Any ideas would be great.
(I cannot rout the Eon deckboards, they are not solid.)
