Building Island nook

Hi everyone,

I want to build a small wall between my dinning room and kitchen, so I can use it as an Island nook. I will have two cabinets underneath at the other end for storage. Most likely they will be wall cabinets , because base cabinets are 24inc deep, and will take too much space. My question is, how high should this wall be? It will have a countertop on it. Thanks

I'm building something similiar right now. I built the wall 40 1/2" high and ordered cabinets of the same height, 12" deep. With the countertop it should be 42" tall.

Remember to give room for a toe kick to match the rest of the kitchen.

Hey Bigman610, how wide did you make the wall? Also did you wrap the wall around to cover the side of the cabinet? Thanks so much.
