Broken Drill Bit

HELP!

I was drilling pilot holes for chair glides in an Amish made dining chair and the drill bit broke off IN the chair leg. Nothing is protruding, so I cannot grab the shank with vice grips and back it out.

Anyone have any advice?

needle nose pliers in the flutes of the bit. Turn it counter clockwise as you pull backwards.

If you can't get it out, can you drill a secondary hole to the side? Or can you attach the glide in another fashion (maybe glue this one)?

If you can't go next to this broken bit and need to remove it, they sell very small hole saw bits that will cut around the bit so you can remove it. You might need to insert a dowel to fill the hole if it's too deep for the glide.
I bought one from Rockler when I had a screw head snap off in a cabinet frame.

Sounds good I'll have to remember that.
