Brick planter cracking and shifting

Our outdoor brick planter is cracking in the middle and would like to know a quick inexpensive way to repair it. Someone suggested that I empty the dirt and put in some rocks so there is less pressure. Would that work?

Thanks

If you're in a freeze zone, you should remove the soil from the container in the Winter.
You can't repair the item by putting stone in it. Putting in the stone just increases drainage. If the container has no holes in the bottom for the water to get out, it just freezes at the bottom.
To fix it, you'd need to remove the cracked mortar and re point the planter.
A picture would help so we can see the item.
