Default Brainstorming session ... how to contain cords and cables

So I built a new desk and I'm getting ready to bring it into the house and get rid of the old one.

However ... one thing I couldn't lay a finger on was how i might be able to contain or declutter the cord jumble that goes along with computers.

Any carpentry ideas - wall or desk attachments, etc, that I could craft and install?

My only thought was to craft a small wooden "pocket" underneath the desk that's just the right size for a large plug-in strip. But I'm kind of against that, I don't want any knee-jaming bits to be sticking out under my desk.

www.rockler.com has a wide assortment of the sort of thing you're looking for. I'd give them a look!

Bongo ties are great. But also, for free, are the left-over tubes from rolls of toilet paper. Just fold your cords in 4" loops, and slip the tubes over them.

You can always buy some cordless computer components. Tiny band ties or twist ties always work great. Also, what about those chases they sell--they are plastic and can be painted to match the desk.
