it can be a few things.. the drive pin might not be tracking correct. theres a peice of a nail head jammed up inside the gun.. wrong angle on the racks of nails for the specific guns.. some brands of guns require specific nails. your shooting them into something very very dense or hitting a nail in the other side. the actual racks of the nails might be damaged , if their paper and got wet they wont fire correclty

The nails are on paper that were left overs from house build they may have gotten wet. I'm going too disassemble and look of internal problems. Also some sink correctly but most don't???

I haven't used a Bostich for years--but the old ones used the wire collated nails---

I haven't used this one in years. I picked up nails during build and had them in a book didn't think twice about paper on wire banding they fit.

when you buy your nails check the box first it will list what brands of guns the nails work in. bostich's are finicky sometimes this way.

i primarily buy "topgun" brand which is cheaper than paslode nails yet have a heavier shank and head to them. plus they jamb up far less. the paslode nails from a couple years ago had quite a few bad runs which were notoriious for jamming up in guns. gun wise we run the older hitachi's which are work horses compared to 90% of the guns on the market now, these nails work wonders in them

good stuff. if it were hitachi it would be a differnt story... they make version of the same gun which will shoot paper and another that shoots wire... the wire model doesnt sell very well though,, hence why so many stores are selling them for 70% off locally
