best way to keep 2 boards perpendicular?

its difficult for me to explain what im trying to do
so ill just ask in simple terms,
i need to attached 2 boards with 1 being perpendicular to the other
like an "L" shape.

what is the best and simplest way to keep the them 90 degrees, even and leveled while i drill some screws to hold it together.

im guessing clamps and a carpenter square?

Lay them down on the edge and you can approximate the angle against a square inside or outside. It will not stay square. You need some kind of brace.

Get a 4x8 sheet of OSB or plywood.

Clamp one board to one edge....clamp the board to the adjacent edge.....if the boards are aligned to the edges....that is about as much of a 90 as you can get.

ok ill try to explain as best as i can...

im remodeling a bed room, im going to build a cabinet door into the wall to house a computer tower.
the shelf thats going to hold the tower, i plan on attaching it to the door so when you open the door the tower is exposed (like and L)
its going to pivot on a lazy susan turn table to open. so i need it to be level
im wanting to do this the best way so its sturdy and dont fall apart

This may or may not fit your application, but to hold a cabinet square for assembly a pair of squaring boards can be used. These are made so the clamps can act as 8 more hands.

Fairview....I like your idea....it looks like you made those out of 1/2" cabinet grade plywood?

Echo....Fairview's idea is good...but if you don't have the equipment to make what he has...you could buy a couple of these...
