I've seen a few sound reduction interior doors from JELD-WEN. Maybe something with their ProCore quiet technology would work well. Someone like Acoustical Solutions might have a door for your application as well.

The heavier the door the better.

When you say solid pine, are you talking about a wood frame and panel style door?
If so, the solid core door will be better for sound control than the wood doors. They
are thicker at the thinnest points and more dense to boot. 1 3/4" sc doors will help a
bit more than 1 3/8" sc doors.

Cut them as close to the floor covering as you can. Hopefully you are using carpet
because it absorbs sound as opposed to vinyl and wood which reflect or bounce sound.

Make sure that your door stop is close to the door all the way around...Not touching on
the hinge side though because it will bind after paint. In extreme cases I have used
the kerf style (qlon) weatherstrip to close up all of the gaps around doors. A bit unusual
for interior doors but quite effective.

This is so true. The last house I lived in had hard wood floors throughout and it was ridiculously loud if we were entertaining in one room and the tv was on in another, etc. Aside from that I think carpet is warmer and more comfortable.

Is it ALL the interior doors in your house, or just a couple in particular? I'm thinking that a solid core door with weatherstripping and a self raising door sweep would help even more in an extreme case

solid core interior door. The best thing to absorb sound is mass. Code usually stipulates a 1" gap under the door for air circulation

1"? Where are you? That's quite a gap

Masonite makes a door called "Safe and Sound"

It's fire resistant and sound resistant. I have one on my practice room and my wife tells me it makes a huge difference. If you leave a big gap under it though, the sound will go right under.
