BeadBoard Ceiling
Will be installing a beadboard ceiling this weekend. I have random length beadboard Clear Fir for staining.
When I need to join shorter lengths should I use a butt joint or a scarf joint? |

BeadBoard Ceiling
Beadboard generally isn't that thick so a butt joint should work provided they meet at a joist and you fire 3-4 brads into each. I scarf baseboards and crown with a bead of PL Premium and they haven't moved in years.
