bay window , window seat

Hi all, I am a handyman and I have a customer who wants me to build a widow seat in a bay window. It will be painted so what is the best material to use? MDF, wood, plywood. i was thinking of using drywall for the front and plywood for the top , that will have a hinged middle section. the window is 12' wide and 24" deep. If anybody has any pictures of their bay window seats that would be sooo helpful.

Thanks,

Mark

A cover that is over 8' long would almost have to be natural lumber, glued, joined with bisquits. Less than 8', I would use cabinet grade plywood with natural wood edges. But make sure that the outside walls are well insulated or you will have a refrigerator.

I'd opt for MDF wherever possible, and prime before painting.
