Default Bay window overhang - use 3/4" plywood underneath?

So my windows are in
What should I use under the 24" overhang?
Just 3/4" plywood painted ?
This will be high up, driveway to one side below
So underneath will be visible right nolw
But - I will be enclosing the area under the window in lattice for trash barrels

Window area will now extend all the way back to the new addition
Total length about 10'

This is obviously an older house, no plywood sheathing. Not sure what you are asking. The knee brace support under the window was boxed over, why not leave it that way???

That entire window is being ripped apart & replaced
The new joists are underneath
It will no longer have an angled support underneath
The whole house is being resided

So the flat part under the window cantilever is what I will be covering
Sanded plywood would give me a smooth finish for paint

dave... I think MDO plywood (signboard) would be a good choice. If you keep it painted and it gets no water it should last a long time.

I found some exterior grade sanded plywood that was a "special" at HD
Basically cabinet grade at 1/2 the price
I'll use galvy finish nails to put it in
