Question

bathroom door opening side

i was wondering what the better side for opening the door would be on this floor plan. the bath tub side or the radiator side? there will be about 5" clearance on both sides between the door frame as well as the tub.

and is 30" a good door width or should i go with something else? suggestions, please.

thanks

does that mean the knob is on the radiator side and the hinges on the bath tub side? or the other way around?

I'd put the hinges on the radiator side and the knob on the tub side, swinging into the bathroom from the hall. Seems more intuitive as a righty.

Swing open toward the radiator, like he said.

believe it or not,, id actually swing it towards the tub,, so if its a common bathroom and someone needs to go in quick if someone is in the shower the door can still provide some privacy even when its open

This is great in theory, but it depends entirely on who you have showering at your house.

Def opening to against the wall. All my doors opened to the 'wrong'side, ie into the room. It drove me mad having to walk round it all the time.
