How long will it take you?
Divide that time by the money you feel you need for spending that amount of time. Consider EVERYTHING, truck, gas, insurances, licenses, and permits?, shop and office, phone, (and a hundred other items).
Now add in the cost of the baseboard (don't forget 10% to 15% waste), nails, caulk, and paint.

Now divide that by the 300 feet...... That is the cost per foot. (But only for THAT particular job.)

Is this paint grade or stain? How fast can you work and have you done this before? If its your first one,,use it as a guideline for future

No set price. That was the point of my post. You may feel you need to make $600 a day... I might be happy with only $30... still someone else on here might be more realistic at requiring $200.

I own my truck outright. You might be making payments.

I work very fast and efficiently. I might be done with everything in four hours. You might need eight hours or even more.

One of us might buy our base at a supplier for a cheap price. The other might go to HD and pay top dollar.

All these things, and many, many, more would obviously make a difference in the price of the job.... thus, in the 'per foot' price too.

One of the biggest is the area in which you live. Comparing prices for Oklahoma to those of NYC would be ludicrous.

As CanadaClub said, you need to start this very day to begin to 'know' what kind of time you spend at various tasks, and, consequently, how much you need to charge for those tasks.

Above all.... NEVER go by another man's prices. Never!

We have one person on here who says he can do certain work at a certain speed.

I know he can't. He knows he can't, and most posters know he can't. But you might believe him...... and lose your shirt pricing by his claim.

It is very dangerous not being completely aware of all the facets of any particular job (they are ALL different) and of your own capabilities.
