OK, I hope I can 'splain this well-

Running base and shoe. I installed some storage cabs and had to cut the bottom of the cab down, leaving a very short toe kick height. Now I am running base. From the image you can see that when the door opens it hits the base. I can shim out the door a little, but that will change the reveal lines where the doors meet. And it still won't clear the base enough for full opening. I can change the door swing if I can't come up with a trick way to run the base.

How would you guys run the base here?

Cabinet never should have been that close to the wall, it needs a spacer. Without the spacer the doors going to hit the wall.

You could come back about 5 or 6 inches and make a design cut sorta like a scroll that will clear the bottom of the door. You could match the profile of the top of the base or just make the new cut round over. This is kinda hard to explain.

The door will open a little past 90 as installed, which is fine in this case. But, I didn't think ahead quite far enough and consider the trim. It would have worked if I hadn't cut down the cabinet base. But, If I was good enough to account for all those variables I would not have to post here and ask for help. It is a bank of 4 and way too much trouble to remove and add the spacer.

So, I am asking if there is some sort of trim option. Like returning the trim to the wall well before the cabinet, then trimming several inches off the bottom of the next piece and running it to the kick. Probably look goofy, and it is right across from the door to the room where it will be seen as soon as you walk into the room.

jiju1943, that is worth a try. I was thinking everything linear but a curve might be better.

I will mock up a few options and see what looks best.

Just use a shorter base board.

Make the door smaller and add a piece to that side of the cabinet. Would look the best.
If you change the swing would a simple 45degree cut on the edge of the base provide enough clearance?

It will probably clear with a little relief cut as you suggest. I will most likely change the door swing.

I have had to do this very thing a few times. Careful, clean work turns out a respectable end result... if not ideal.

cut trim on a bevel so the next piece slopes down toward floor then cut second piece on left side same degree so profiles match then bevel cut right side of piece sloping upward so top of trim is correct height to go under toe kick or door then cut third piece same bevel to make it run parallel with floor and for profile to line up then rip down piece so it goes under toe kick
ok clear as mud and the degree used depends on how fast you want it to drop
