AHH! the molding

Hi all, i am remodeling a room into a home theater like room, but i have 2 problems
1.) tehe idiot who fixed the room before me made it so thet the modling around 1 door, and 1 recessed shelf landed about 1/8 to 1/4 inch from the ceiling, what can i do to fill/ minimize that space

2.) half the room is wood panleing, half is drywall, what do i put in the corner to fill that gap, and how do i make it meet with the cromw molding ( the guy who remodeled it 5 years ago put outside corner molding in backwards it looks terrible)

I waited through about 30 pictures and didn't see any with bad moulding joints or anything similar, and I'm afraid I can't visualize what you mean. A picture of the problem posted directly here would help a lot. After you click "reply", scroll down to "manage attachments" and add the pic to your post.
