Adding hardwood between existing floors
I am currently removing a wall to make one large master bedroom and I have hardwood throughout the house and in both rooms. How difficult is it to add hardwood between the rooms where the wall once was?

If you want the wood 'laced in' like it was always there ---it's going to be expensive---maybe impossible without removing a section of floor.
Here's why----seldom do the floors line up perfectly with each other ,making weaving in new boards nearly impossible.

Let a floor guy look at it--after removal---My hardwood guy is a magician and really quite reasonable.
There are a lot of solutions including insetting a board perpendicular to the original or removing only the section that will not line up with the other half. Post a picture after the wall is out---then we'll see if lacing in new boards is an option.
