5" door jambs


any sugestions on making a 5" jamb for a 4-9/16 store bought prehung door? We have 8 fo these to do, The actual wall thickness is 5"

5" door jambs


Marge....7/16" jam extension. Rip from clear stock, glue and nail to whichever side you'd like.

What 12penny said but I’d put the extension on the non-hinge side. Otherwise the door won’t open past 90 deg.
