Announcement: Rewards Program Changes

We will be making a few changes in the rewards program. Due to availability, product updates, shipping logistics, and price changes, tools will no longer be an option within the rewards program. You can still order eGift cards so that you can order the tools of your choice through Amazon, Lowe's or Home Depot.

We are adding more eGift card options, including Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop.

As many of you already know, you also have the option to donate your reward points to Marine Toys For Tots.

Re: Announcement: Rewards Program Changes

Are the gift cards in US dollars? Being in Canada I would order from the US site not the Canadian site of for example Bass pro?

Not sure that would help. Canada Customs charges duty and customs or brokerage fees for anything shipped from the US. We get ripped off/hosed by our lovely authorities.

Go to Amazon.ca vs Amazon.com to see the difference in the same item with shipping. Or compare both Bass Pro sites after shipping/duties.

We can also issue gift cards for amazon.ca if you prefer. Simply mention it in the notes when you place the order if that is your preference.

Re: Announcement: Rewards Program Changes

If I were to try to redeem any points I would like a paypal redemption.

But I am not here to get points, although they are a bonus, I have little use for shopping on or off line.

Probably others would like to spend their points elsewhere than at specified advertisers outlets.

ED

P.S. I see that you put some of your points to the TOTS donation.

good for you.

If people don't know this already, just an FYI, the Home Depot gift cards are not accepted in-store, use on-line only. I found out the hard way.

eGift cards are the only option at this time.

If your comment was directed to me about donating my point to the Toys For Tots, I am not eligible for points because I work for the company. Any points in my account are not "real". I put points in there to test the program, nothing more.

Not an issue I have an American friend I can ship to then drive over and pick up. Customs usually just waves you through if you have less than $50, unless it is smokes or booze.

Yeah, you are pretty close.

The business community was lobbying the Senate and Gov't to relax the duties as they don't like it. Has to do with using brokers as Canada Post does not collect duties or some such nonsense. The US does have some shopping advantages but we have to pay for our Healthcare somehow so I don't complain.

I got some and the store takes them in Canada, unless they have since changed. I print them out and it says you can use it either way. Not a actual card.

Rewards eGift cards were sent out today. If you ordered one, make sure to search for the email from VerticalScope.com via Giftbit.

Re: Announcement: Rewards Program Changes

How do you redeem gift cards...what stores are they good for? is it
for on line purchases only? If it's an Amazon gift card, can you purchase anything with it or does it have to be tools?
thanks in advance.
