Question

terminating HDMI connectors

is it finally possible to terminate your own HDMI connectors to cable, like it is possible with every other kind of connector (cat5, F, RCA, phone, so on, so forth...) ??

because, if not, how do you run HDMI cable behind the wall and thread it through holes in framing with the connector on already ??

This, of course, was some uncompetitive protectionism kind of crap, may be even a patent issue, but I was hoping it's been debunked by now.

terminating HDMI connectors

As a pro in the field I will tell you that there's no way I would do it.

HDMI is a nightmare as it is. Fool around trying to make up the connectors and you'll likely never get it to work properly again.

Just buy the ready made in wall rated cables, drill large enough holes, and run the cables you need.

Also be aware that the longer your run, the more likely you'll be to have issues.
