Projection Screen in place of window

Hey all,

Here's the idea. Buy a house/building and instead of adding windows add projectors and screens to replace windows - creating a view of live video of whatever I want (i.e loop of Niagara Falls). The will be ambient light (i.e there will be some regular windows and household lights) but I have no idea of whether the proper grey screen and projector could look totally realistic and what equipment would work. Thx

Peter

Make it 3D projection, and wear glasses all day.

I already live in a self-induced 3D world.

Still appreciate any ideas/advice though

Will not look good in rooms bright enough to read in.

All projector in front of screen systems require a darkened room for a life like view.

Exactly...to have a nice view it would be best to have the room totally dark...like in the cinema.

You could do that. There are projectors and screens that made to be viewed in normal ambient light conditions. The cost of doing that would not be practical.

Here is a related article: http://www.projectorcentral.com/nexy.htm
