av receiver connections

I have a MITSUBISHI hc-3000 projector connected to a PIONEER VSX-1016TXV receiver with component cables. I cannot connect a SONY BDP-S590 bluray player with an HDMI cable. Any suggestions?

It looks like your projector has an HDMI in connection. Your DVD player has an HDMI out connection. You may just need a long HDMI cable.

Explain more if that's not it.
