Adding Direc TV receiver
Hi All, I have a question about adding a used DirecTV receiver as a third receiver in my house. I know that I can order a new access card from DirecTV, but I don't know if I can add a third receiver to my current system.
When I added the second receiver a few years ago they had to come to my house and install a "dual receiver" LNB on my dish. Does that mean that I will now have to install a "tri-receiver" LNB on my dish? Or can I just put a splitter on the existing coax cable where it enters the house going to the new receiver? I would ask DirecTV, but I don't trust them, all they want to do is talk you into buying their overpriced equipment and packages. Thanks! |

Adding Direc TV receiver
I may have found my own answer. Would a multi-switch and diplexers be the solution?
I stumbled across this website which cleared it up for me, maybe this will help someone else--> http://www.satelliteinstaller.com/sa...ultiswitch.htm |
