Missing Malaysia Airlines Jet Flight 370

What do YOU think happened to the missing Malaysia Airlines jet?
http://abcnews.go.com/International/...ry?id=22930015

Why do you think that?

Will it ever be found?

I think without the plane (in tact or otherwise) we're all just speculating on what happened and yes I think it will be found.

I figured it landed safely. Just don't understand why no ransom demand.

That would require a large air port..alot of people woukd have knowledge of it...good chance of some one talking.
Then there is an extra plane you have to get rid of..as you can never use it again.
Sure is an odd case.

If it went to the wrong airport is would likely noticed on radar.

The Maylasia Airlines does fly to Chennai(Madras), India, but the India air space is loaded with sophisticated technology. Malaysia flies there and may have been a spot the pilot had been to and understands. That is the only practical spot on the Bay of Bengal/Indian Ocean. Going into the depths of the bay waters can hide anything and are very, very deep (10,000-20,000 feet). A remote possibility is that he is aware of the landing on the Hudson River in NY and thought he could go low and survive instead of being a suicide pilot.

It is possible that the pilot's flight trainer in his apartment will have some information on sites it was programmed for or used.

The pilot was somewhat outspoken on politics in the past, but I am sure that will be considered.

It will take time to unravel in the future, but if the recorders (flight and communications) can be found, it might be sooner.

Think about something.
It's possible with GPS technology to track a cellphone to within 50 ft.
What's the chances someone had a cellphone on that plane, at least 50 % I'd guess at least.
Someone on that plane at some point had to know something was just not right and had tried to make a phone call unless there was no time because the plane went down .
Why can it not be narrowed down that way?
Think about how on 911 how many people reached out to there loved ones.

I was thinking the same thing, Joe. Even if they decompressed the passenger area and killed them off, surely some cell phones would be on and pinging on something. Of course, maybe they collected all the cell phones after taking over the plane. Well, who knows. Certainly one of the greatest aviation mysteries of all time.

They were too high for phones to contact towers. Speed of plane does not allow contact either, per expert on TV right now.

Pilot took the plane down, all are gone. He sat in a recent Muslim trial and was upset with outcome.

My guess

If they were flying below radar they would not need pressurization.
Unless the copilot was in on it or was killed he would know something was up.
The pilot would have had to go to auto pilot and get up to go collect all the phones.
If the copilot knew something was up he would have locked the door behind him when the pilot walked back to the cabin to collect the phones.

Most were probably asleep, he took out co pilot, then took the plane up to take out passengers.

6 to 7 hours later, no fuel and the plane entered the sea.

Just my guess!
