wireless printing from android

I love my printer. Its an HP officejet pro 8600 plus.

I've got it set up with an e print address. The problem lies with my samsung galaxy II mobile.

I should be able to send documents to the printer from the phone, but the app says it needs a samsung printer.

I was told they are compatible. I want to be able to have the printer in my vehicle and print directly from the android rather than always have to get the laptop involved.

Has anybody been able to get this function working properly?

There really is no easy way to do it. You could try Google Chrome and see if that works, but the printer needs to be seen through a wifi connection to the Internet. Also see http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-...E/td-p/1655731

Thanks Greg and it was easy. I just followed your link, downloaded the app to my computer and then synched it my device.

Holy cow its incredible

At first I was frustrated because when I tried to print an email from my android I kept getting the code that I needed a samsung printer.

So instead I called up the newly installed app on the device and there were some selected emails from my account. One click and they easily printed. It took me a few minutes to remember that when I was setting up eprint on the printer I clicked on only pdf files. That must be the reason the phone only had a few selected files.

Now its an easy fix...I will just go back and reconfigure the printer to print everything I think I will need.

I've actually had had some Agents email me legal documents from a kodak photo viewer.
