Simplicity mower

I have a Simplicity riding mower, with the multiple rollers on the back of the deck. My problem is when I mow it throws a lot of grass up on top of the deck and clogs there under and over the mower deck drive belts. It has the mulching attachments mounted on the deck. Should I take these off? or how can I stop the grass from collecting. Thank you .

You don't need to keep those rollers on.

How often do you mow? How high is the grass?

I wouldn't. Mulching is a GoodThing.

I mow at least once per week. as I have a sprinkler system in my yard. And yes I do have the belt covers on. if by belt covers you mean the covers over the spindles.
I have my mower set at 3-to 4 inches.

Just the way it is, I gave up, removed the covers and once it's dried out use the leaf blower to clean it out.
I use a John Deere mower and mow at least 10 yards a week.
I used to remove the covers and use the hose or pressure washer to clean it off and went through spindles like crazy. The dealer told me the spindles are not water proof.
That's nuts, I just removed the covers and blow them off when I'm done mowing and reduced the replacements by 75%.

I don't seem to have the trouble you have and I have a Simplicity Broadmoor with the striper rollers, not mulcher though.
My yard is mowed at the highest setting (3 3/4 " I believe) it will go because of clay soils and not being watered.
If you let the lawn height get away from you it can happen ...I guess I've encountered this a time or two also.
Not bothered by it just blew it off with an air hose ..leaf blower sounds like a good idea ...Ha I use it after I wash the car.
