What to use for subfloor thickness wise

I am changing out vinyle floor to tile, I want to be able to line up with wood floor in next room.

Now the floor in 3/4in particle board I am sure on this being particle so I am pulling this up.

the wood floor that is on the side is 1/2 thick so I have a 1 and 1/4 to work with tile is 5/16 thick

So what I am asking is what size concrete board and what size plywood
