What is causing my slab to become powdery

Anyone have seen this before? We once has an ant problem.

still do have an ant problem as that is the result of the dreaded antus concretus digesterous ( concrete eating ant larvae ) as they transition to adulthood,,, IF they get large enough AND hungry enough, your house will soon fall down

actually its efflorescence which is causing the coating to fall off,,, check for moisture behind the wall

Sure it's not just aluminum that was used as a termite shield that's falling apart because it came in contact with the pressure treated foundation plate?
